Silicon Valley International Film Festival
Christina July Kim was born in Monterey Park, California and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico when she was 6 years old. In high school, with the counsel of her high school drama teacher D. Keyson, she decided to apply to the Bachelor of Fine Arts acting program at the University of Southern California. Out of 500+ applicants, Christina was accepted into the prestigious BFA program. Christina was Taft-Hartlied into SAG for her role as "Xiu" in the film Doc West (2009), starring Paul Sorvino and Terence Hill, produced by DAP Italy. In 2013, Christina launched Selah Pictures wanting to tell stories that spoke to the human experience. It is her hope that her films will help people to be more self aware as they journey through the messy parts of life and relationships. In 2015, Christina started the Silicon Valley International Film Festival in response to meeting filmmakers like herself who were having difficulty funding their films. She currently works at Salesforce in San Francisco and every year invites her tech colleagues to network with independent filmmakers at the Silicon Valley International Film Festival in San Francisco.
